Dakota Isaiah Carley, beloved husband, father, son, grandson, brother, and friend, passed away on July 29, 2026, in Belle, Missouri, at the young age of 25 as a result of an automobile accident. Dakota’s life, though far too brief, was marked by immense love, hard work, and a spirit that touched everyone who knew him.

Born on December 30, 2000 at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, South Carolina, Dakota grew into a young man whose love for his family and friends was unmatched. He was the cherished husband of Abigale Renne (Coffman) Carley and a dedicated and loving father to his son, Waylon Carley, and daughter, Harmony Coffman. Dakota’s presence in their lives was a constant source of joy and strength.

His family was the centerpiece of his world. Dakota was the beloved son of Jeremiah and Amanda (Sensing) Carley, and the dear brother of Colton Carley and Rylee Carley. He cherished his extended family as well, including Abigail's parents, Bobby and Sherry Coffman, always taking time to connect and care for each of them. His role as a loving uncle was one he valued deeply, always ready with a warm smile or a helping hand.

A true product of a military family, Dakota took pride in being a “military brat,” and held a special place in his heart for St. James. He created fond memories and lasting friendships wherever life took him. Athletics played a significant role in his youth—Dakota qualified for state in cross country, track, and wrestling multiple times, demonstrating determination, perseverance, and team spirit both on and off the field.

Dakota was known for his hardworking nature. No task was too daunting for him; whether he was at work or tackling projects at home, he gave every endeavor his all. When the workday was done, Dakota found peace and happiness fishing anywhere he could cast a pole. An outdoorsman at heart, he enjoyed the simple pleasure of watching the water and feeling a tug on the line. His love for his Bad Boy mower and his truck, with its unmistakably loud pipes, brought him a special joy—a joy he was never hesitant to share with others.

His loyal dog, Apollo, held a special place in Dakota’s heart. Their bond was one of mutual comfort and companionship, a reflection of Dakota’s big-hearted nature. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his laughter, loyalty, and unwavering affection for those closest to him.

Dakota Isaiah Carley leaves behind a legacy of devotion, warmth, and kindness. While his life ended too soon, the love he gave and the memories he forged will continue to inspire and comfort all who were fortunate enough to know him. Dakota’s absence is deeply felt, but his spirit endures in the hearts of his wife, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, in-laws, and all who called him friend.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home with Bill Coffman officiating. Pallbearers will be Bobby Coffman, Andrew Coffman, Matt Clark, Peyton Coffman, Jeremiah Carley, and Bobby Coffman. Burial will be in the St. James Cemetery.
