Connie Eleanor Bartle of St. James, Missouri passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 14, 2007. She was 60 years, 11 months, and 8 days of age.

Connie was born on December 6, 1946 to her parents: Edward and Eileen (Wittneber) Savage. She was united in marriage to David Bartle on September 5, 1969 at the Flag Springs in St. James, Missouri.

Connie was an RN at the Missouri Veteran's Home in St. James, Missouri for 22 years. She loved her job and the residents at the home. Connie loved gardening; collecting angels and teapots. She was a faithful member of the Flag Springs Church. She went on church mission trips. She was an active leader in AWANA children's club. She was deeply devoted to her family and especially loved her grandchildren Brooke and Owen.

Connie is survived by her husband: David Bartle of St. James, Missouri; one son: Dan Bartle and wife Dina of Ballwin, Missouri; one daughter: Kassy Bartle of West Plains, Missouri; two grandchildren: Owen and Brooke; mother: Eileen (Wittneber) Savage of Strafford, Missouri; three brothers: Edward Savage and wife Sue of Rolla, Missouri; Leland Edwards and wife Donna of Salem, Missouri and Randy Edwards of Salem, Missouri; five sisters: Louise Skouby and husband Richard of St. Robert, Missouri; Pat Kelley of Merced, California; Levella Smith of Harrisonville, Missouri; Norma Smith and husband Gary of Harrisonville, Missouri; and Nita Driscoll and husband Jeff of Strafford, Missouri.

Preceding Connie in death is her father: Edward Savage.

Services
Visitation will be from 4 - 8 PM on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 16, 2007 at 10 AM at the Flag Springs Church with C. Bud Palmer and Mary Taylor officiating. Pallbearers will be Brett Bell, Jack Bartle, Lanny Wallace, Jeff Driscoll, Richard Skouby, and Laverne Parrish. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Smith, Tony Skouby, Finis Kelso, Leon Taylor, Gene Bartle, Robert Skouby, and Leland Edwards. Burial will be in the family plot in the Flag Springs Church Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Phelps Regional Hospice; 1202 Homelife Drive, Rolla, Missouri 65401 in lieu of flowers.
