Clyde Edward Snodgrass Sr. of St. James passed away quietly at his home on Friday, May 8, 2009. He was 74 years, 6 months, and 4 days of age.

Clyde Snodgrass was born November 6, 1934 at Rolla, Mo., the son of the late Clarence E. and Maude (Earls) Snodgrass.

On April 24, 1954, Clyde was united in marriage to Helen Pearl Flynn at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Revere, Massachusetts.

Clyde Snodgrass is survived by his dear wife Helen Snodgrass, of 55 years. She survives at the family home in St. James. Also one Son; Ed Snodgrass and wife Glenda of Rolla; two daughters; Helen Barker of Athens, Texas and Debora Smith and her husband Randy of Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. Along with 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services
Clyde Snodgrass will lie in state Monday evening May 11, 2009 from 6-8 P.M. at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James. Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 P.M.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday May 12. 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. James, with Basil Euro celebrant. Ministry of Music will be provided by Helen Coronic and Estelle Grotha. Pallbears will be Travis Smith, Tony Snodgrass, Keith Colgrove, Aaron Wassilak, Austin Colgrove, and Devin Figueroa. Burial with full Military Honors will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in St. James. Memorials may be given to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
