Cecil Busby of St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of St. James, Missouri asleep in Jesus arms, Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Delmar Gardens South in St. Louis, Missouri. Cecil was 84 years, 10 months, and 5 days of age.

Cecil was born on June 2, 1925 to his parents: Joseph Madison and Addie (Leggett) Busby in Lepanto, Arkansas. Cecil was united in marriage to Beatrice Joyce Singleton.

Cecil worked as a Teamsters Freight Handler.

Cecil Busby is survived by his Beloved Wife: Beatrice Busby (nee Singleton) of St. Louis, Missouri; Dear Daughter: Sandra Joyce Hussey and husband Michael of St. Louis, Missouri; Dear Grandchild: Kim Cervantes and husband John of St. Louis, Missouri; and Dear Great-Grandchildren: Chris, Steven, David, Miranda, and Jacob, and Beloved sister: Dorothy French of Tennessee and Beloved Uncle, Brother-In-Law; Cousin and Friend.

Preceding Cecil in death are his parents: Joseph and Addie Busby, brothers: Walter, Johnny, Paschall, and Walter Busby; sisters: Tishie Clark and Mary Bee Propes.

Services
Cecil Busby will lie in state on Friday, April 9, 2010 from 5 - 8 pm at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.

Services will be conducted at 11 AM on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with Larry Davis officiating. Music will be provided by Charlet Hemme at the organ and the vocalist: Linda Spurgeon singing: Just A Closer Walk With Thee and Whispering Hope. Pallbearers will be: Chris Cervantes, Steven Cervantes, David Cervantes, Frank Walker, Lindell Harmon, and Phil Heavin. Burial will be in the family plot in the St. James Cemetery.
