Cathy Judean Morris, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away quietly at her home in St. James, Missouri, on August 3, 2026. Born on October 9, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri, Cathy was a lifelong Missourian whose warmth, kindness, and strength of spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Cathy’s life was a reflection of devotion to family and a steadfast commitment to those she loved. She leaves behind her loving husband, Rick Morris; her cherished son, Zachary B. Summers and his wife, Aimee; her devoted daughters, Rebecka Smith and Amanda Morris. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Alexander Summers, Isabelle Summers, Konner Gabriel, Payton Gabriel, Janie Norton, Mariah Norton, Lacey Calton, Bear Hance and Payton Hance, and her adored great-granddaughter, Udyah McCartney.

Cathy was a dearly loved sister to her brother, Rick Smith, and his wife, Teena and to her sister, Debra Kelley. She also shared a special bond with her mother-in-law, Mrs. Pat Morris. Each of these relationships enriched her life and provided her with immense joy and companionship throughout the years.

She is now reunited in peace with her mother, Ruthie Fulhorst; her father, Ray Smith; her brother-in-law, Troy Kelley; and nephew, Scott Kelley. Their memories remained close to Cathy’s heart during her lifetime, and her own memory will be forever treasured by those she leaves behind.

Cathy’s journey was one marked by love, laughter, and resilience. Her life’s milestones were celebrated with her family, and her home was always a place of welcome and comfort. Those who knew her remember not only her unwavering support and compassion but also her gentle sense of humor and quiet strength.

Visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO on Thursday, August 6, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held later that day at 3:00 p.m. at Smith Cemetery in Oates, Missouri, Hwy J, Oates, MO 63625.

Cathy’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her boundless love, her generous spirit, and her enduring dedication to family.
