Brent was dedicated to his family. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. After moving back to Missouri where his mother's family originated overlooking the Meramec River, he built a home for his family on the Meramec River, his favorite place. He and Renee enjoyed raising their family in the beauty of the Ozarks that surrounded their home. Brent loved to spend time outside as much as possible, working around his home, enjoying the river, and dedicating time to his family and medical practice.
After graduating from high school, Brent enrolled in Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri to study art. Through the many turns and adventures that life presented, Brent chose to attend medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana instead of pursuing a career in art. He graduated with the honors of Summa Cum Laude and finished at the top of his class. He was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa and completed his residency of medicine at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He began practicing medicine in Yorktown, Indiana. Later, he opened his own practice in Muncie, Indiana where he began studying ways to help his patients through nutrition and alternative health practices. He then relocated to Chicago, Illinois where he joined a medical practice as part of the home birth team, delivering babies throughout the greater Chicago Area. After returning to Indiana again, he began practicing as an ER doctor in Portland, Indiana at Jay Hospital and later at Salem Memorial District Hospital in Salem, Missouri, where he retired after nearly 25 years.
Dr. Caudill was dedicated in sharing his knowledge to aid the healing process in others. In 2009, he began Preventive Healthcare in St. James, Missouri.
He loved playing tennis and banjo, windsurfing in Florida, reading, and training Tennessee Walking horses.
