Billy Lloyd Murphy, 94, of Vienna, Missouri, was born on August 21, 1931, in Maries County, the son of Clay Lloyd Murphy and Roy Molinda (Copeland) Murphy, and passed from this life on March 24, 2026.

Billy Lloyd was united in marriage on June 4, 1955, to Pauline Jane Parker, who preceded him in death on November 9, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ellen Schwartze, on February 28, 2020, and his beloved grandson, Coad Murphy Stricklan, on March 10, 2022.

A longtime member of the Vienna United Methodist Church, Billy Lloyd proudly served his country in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge in August 1960. He spent his working life as a heavy equipment operator in many capacities and remained a dedicated lifetime farmer.

Billy Lloyd is survived by his son, Jeffrey Lloyd Murphy; two daughters, Melanee Jane Stricklan and her husband Berry, and Carol Jo Schulte and her husband John; six grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jessica Stricklan, Ashley and Russell Grigsby, Audrey Murphy, John and Tiffany Schulte, Sarah and Jamie Jones, and Sam Schulte; 18 great-grandchildren, Madison (Jacob), Gavin (Kayla), Cash (Salene), Jaelee, Jude, Josie, Colton (Madison), Reece, Jordan, Ava, Clay, John Henry, George, Ruth, Brett, Clara, Luke, and Jada Rose; four great-great-granddaughters, Cody, Murphy, Presley, and Priscilla; one great-great-granddaughter expected soon; and sister-in-law, Sally Goodman.

He was steadfast, unwavering, and will be greatly missed.

Private services will be conducted April 4, 2026. Burial will be in the Vienna Public Cemetery.
