Betty M. (Smith) McCrae, 98, of Farmington, IL, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 12, 2017, at Farmington Country Manor in Farmington, IL. She was born in Rolla, MO on November 24, 1918 to Joseph and Georgia (McComb) Smith. She married Fletcher T. "Buss" McCrae on November 24, 1940 in Rolla, MO. He passed away on February 9, 1968.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Robert H. (Florene) Smith, passing on December 15, 1996.

She is survived by her sons; Robert F. (Sally) McCrae of El Paso, TX, William C. (Justine) McCrae of East Peoria, IL, and James T. (Maria) McCrae of Durham, NC.

She is also survived by her loving grandchildren; Dave (Tracy) McCrae, Darren McCrae, Ryan (Hanny) McCrae, Anina McCrae and Maia McCrae. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; Riley, Cooper, Reagan McCrae of Dave and Tracy, and Amelia McCrae of Ryan and Hanny.

Betty retired from Baudino-Potter-Maas Law Office in Farmington, IL. Betty loved to play bridge, belonging to two clubs and a Saturday couple's night. She also was very active in the local Chapter of P.E.O. in Farmington for over 70 years. She also played the piano and taught Sunday School at the Methodist Church in Farmington.

Graveside services 11am on September 29th at the St. James Cemetery in St. James, Mo.
