Betty L. Mitchelle of St. James, MO passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at her home. She was 74 years of age and 6 days of age.

Betty, the daughter of Chris M. and Jessie L. Wilson Fierce, was born July 28, 1942 in St. Louis, MO.

She is survived by her two children: Daughter, Sandra L. Miller and husband, Tommy of Cuba, MO;  Son, Brian Carrigan and fiance, Susan Parker of Cuba, MO;  one brother, Larry W. Fierce of Tennesse; two sisters:  Patricia S. Mash of St. James, MO and Mary Ann Gudde of Cuba, MO; eight grandchildren:  Richard K. Eickhorst II, Travis L. Carrigan, Shawn Carrigan, Rhett McKisson, Mason Sweeney, Landen Sweeney, Shawna Cowsert and Devon Cowsert; one great grandchild, Blayne L. Carrigan; and nieces, Sabrina Hall and husband, Carl, Melissa Mash and Vicky Mash.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Chris Fierce and David L. Carson; and two sisters:  Shirley M. Yocum and Darlene J. Willard, and special companion, Milfred Gresham.

Betty was a loving mother and sister.  She was jolly and sweet; she would do anything for anybody.  She loved karaoke at the VFW.  She had many collections:  pens, Snuggle bears, Tweety, and matchbooks.  She loved the color blue.  She worked for the University of Missouri-Rolla for over 25 years as a cook.  She always said that she was a kid at heart.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM on Sunday, August 7, 2016.

Memorial Service will be conducted 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 7, 2016.
