Obituary

Bettie Lou (Oberkrom) Klossner age 75, of St. James, Missouri entered her eternal home on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center.

Bettie was born February 22, 1934 at Safe, Missouri, daughter of the late Herman T. (Cap) and Katie Irene (Hemme) Oberkrom. Bettie was united in marriage on April 10, 1954 to Wendell Arthur Klossner who preceded her in death January 18, 2003.

Bettie was a life long resident of the St. James area and a member of the First Church of God in St. James, Missouri. Bettie spent her life being a loving, dedicated wife and help mate to husband Wendell and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend. She spent her life thinking of others and always ready to extend a helping hand. Bettie enjoyed gardening, home canning, sewing, quilting, fishing, camping, travel and just spending time with her dearly loved family and host of friends. As a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin, she will always be in the hearts of the family.

Survivors include two sons: Perry Klossner and wife Betty of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Keith Klossner and wife Amy of Covington, Indiana; two sisters: Ella Mae Magnin of Bridgeton, Missouri; and Rose Mary Hughes and husband George of Rolla, Missouri; two brothers: Charles Oberkrom and wife Betty of Licking, Missouri, Melvin Oberkrom and wife Margo of Cedar Hill, Missouri; one brother-in-law: Glendon Klossner and wife Kathleen of St. James, Missouri; one sister-in-law: Virginia McIntosh and husband Robert of St. James, Missouri; three grandchildren: Joshua Klossner, Aaron Klossner and Rosa Klossner and several nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt and an uncle.

Bettie was preceded in death by her parents: Herman T. (Cap) and Katie Irene (Hemme) Oberkrom; son: Michael Arthur Klossner; brothers: Bill Oberkrom, Michael Oberkrom and infant Oberkrom boy; brother-in-law Charles Magnin.

Services
Visitation will be Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, November 13, 2009 at First Church of God in St. James, Missouri with Reverend Don Carson officiating. Bettie will be laid to rest with Wendell, husband of forty-eight years and son Michael at High Gate Church Cemetery, High Gate, Missouri.

Memorials may be give to First Church of God, St. James, Missouri or the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
