Augie Robert Burke of St. James passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Phelps Hospital in Rolla, MO.  He was 60 years of age.

Augie, the son of the late Frank Sr. and Brenda Conley Burke, was born July 4, 1962 in Oakland, CA. He was united in marriage to Denise Anderson Burke on April 4, 1987 of St. James, MO. He and Denise celebrated 35 years of marriage this year.

He is survived by his wife, Denise of St. James, MO; son, Otto Burke and wife Ginny of Rincon, GA; daughter, Linda Blair and husband, James of Rolla, MO; brother, Frank Burke Jr.; sister, Connie Cahill and husband, Doug; grandchildren: Sarah Blair, Lilliana Burke and Colton Burke; and niece, Seriae Wilson of South Carolina.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

He loved his wife, children and grandchildren dearly. Augie graduated from John F. Hodge in the Class of 1981. Augie having grown up in the era of Rock N Roll, he loved the KSHE 95 radio station. He still tuned in faithfully to hear his favorite songs. He was also an avid New England Patriots fan. He enjoyed collecting pictures of Old St. James; he would spend hours leafing through the old pictures at the Lucy Wortham James Library. He loved showing his collection to his friends and giving them copies as much as he loved making the great finds..

Augie worked for the City of St. James for 5 years.

Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 AM Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Jones Funeral Home.
