Anthony S. Mingo of St. James, Missouri passed away in St. Louis, Missouri on Wednesday, August 29, 2007. He was 86 years, 2 months, and 28 days of age.

Anthony S. Mingo was born on June 1, 1921 to his parents: Henry and Esther (Castelli) Mingo at Bevier, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Muriel A. Oberton on October 1, 1942 at Rosati, Missouri. To this union six children were born.

Anthony S. Mingo was Veteran of WW II serving in Europe from 1942 until 1945. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union. He was an active Missouri Grape Grower. He was a hard working man and like to work. He loved his family very much. He was a St. Louis Sports teams fan. He was a very loyal man who was hardworking and very well respected.

Mingo of Covington, LA; Clorinda Mingo; Glenda (Bob) Morrison; Karen (Ron)Prebianca; Toni (Duane) Moody; and Tina (Gary) Newenhaus all of St. Louis, MO. Brother of Joseph Mingo and Matilda Rowlan of St. Louis; Theresa Maxwell of Shawnee, KS; and the late Andrew Mingo. 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

Preceding Anthony in death is his parents:Henry and Esther (Castelli) Mingo; wife: Muriel A. Mingo on October 27, 2006; one son Rico Mingo and one brother: Andrew Mingo

Services
Anthony S. Mingo will be in state from 5 - 8 PM on Sunday, September 2, 2007 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri. Prayer Service will be at 4:30 pm at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 am Monday, September 3, 2007 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Rosati, Missouri with Father David J. Viet and Sister Virginia Myers officiating. Minister of Music will be Liz Moreland and Bob Edwards. with Jodi Donati at the organ. Burial will be in the St. Anthony's Catholic Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family.

Masses are preferred for St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home.
