Anna Laurine Auxier of St. James, Missouri passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 99 years of age.

Anna, the daughter of the late Joseph Henry and Mae Newman (Boyd) DeLuca, was born November 28, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois. She was united in marriage to Voris Samuel Auxier on November 13,1942 in Hannibal, Missouri.

Anna is survived by her sons: Samuel Joseph Auxier and wife, Vera Jean of St. James, Missouri; Joseph Henry Auxier of Gowen, Michigan; Jack Newman Auxier (Sarah) of St. James, Missouri; and Thomas Steven Auxier and wife, Kimberly of Cuba, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. As well as several nieces and nephews.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Alberta Mae Smith and David Lee DeLuca; her husband, Voris, who passed away June 17, 2015 ; daughters, Diane Lee Borscha and Judith Ann Wilson; son, William Enoch Auxier (Lucy); Son-in-law, Stuart Wilson; Daughter-in- law, Rebecca Auxier; Daughter-in-law, Margaret Auxier and grandchildren, Marie Wilson and Jacob Auxier.

Anna was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and Christian. Anna loved caring for others; her love and kindness blessed all those around her. So much so she went back to school and became a nurse at 46 years old.  She cherished her family; and loved hosting holiday meals. She would spend days planning and making everyone's favorite dishes. The hours of tedious work rolling out pie dough and homemade noodles seemed to fade away in the anticipation of family gathering around her table. Many special memories were made around Anna's table, ones that will be shared for many generations to come.

Anna's hobbies included visiting her family, sketching, fishing and watching the Chicago Cubs!  She was an avid Cubs fan. She loved keeping track of their schedule and cheered them on to many wins.

Visitation will be Noon – 2:00 PM Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home with Bro. Craig Rippy officiating. Pallbearers will be Luke Auxier, Tommy Auxier, Sammy Auxier, Joey Auxier, Don Borscha, and Matt Auxier. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Auxier, Steve Wilson, and Brian Auxier. Burial will be in the Wishon Cemetery in St. James, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the direction of Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
