Alice Lorene Gnemi of St. James passed away Saturday August 18, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in St. James. She was 82 years of age.

Alice Gnemi was born August 11, 1930 near Broadway, Mo., north of St. James the daughter of the late Robert E. and Gladys Pierce Parrish.

On January 19, 1949 in Steelville, Mo., she was united in marriage to Frank Gnemi.

Alice Gnemi is survived by her husband Frank Gnemi of St. James., two sons Jerry Gnemi and wife Irene and William (Bill) Gnemi and wife Donna all of St. James. Daughter: Pam Maddalon and husband Michael of St. James; step daughter, Barbara Call of Fulton. Sisters: Dorothy Benson and Helen Harris both of St. James. She is further survived by three grandchildren: Saundra Hendricks, John Douglas II and Angela Robertson, three great-grandchildren; Justin, Emily and Turner and two great-great grandchildren, along with sister-in-law Shirley Parrish of Rolla.

Alice Gnemi is preceded in death by one daughter Kristie, two brothers Everett "Gene" Parrish, Charles Parrish and grand-daughter Lori.

Services
Alice Gnemi will lie in state from 6-8 pm Tuesday August 21, 2012 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Funeral Service will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday August 22, 2012 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Don Carson Officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. Memorial may be given to the Russell House of Rolla.

All arrangments are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
