Obituary

Alfred Louis Wagner, age 93, was born July 1, 1919. He passed away at his home on April 23, 2013. He was the eldest son of Clarence Emery Wagner and Ella Martha (Koerber) Wagner who both preceded him in death. On June 18, 1942 he was united in marriage to Pauline Leach at her parent's home in Norborne, Missouri. To this union eight children were born: Barbara (deceased), Owen, Janice, Joanne, Janell, Jane, Janet, and Everett.

Alfred served in the Army Air Force, European Theater during World War II. He received three bronze stars and received the rank of First Sergeant. After service Alfred bought his grandfather, A.C. Wagner's family farm where he was born and has resided there sixty seven years. He worked at Quaker Window Products in Freeburg, Missouri but his main occupation was farming. Alfred Wagner was a member of Vienna Masonic Lodge #94; Rainbow Chapter 263 OES; Big Spring Lodge #237 I.O.O.F., St. James, Missouri; Rolla York Rite, Rolla, Missouri; Valley of Columbia Scottish Rite, Columbia, Missouri, and Abou Ben Adhem Shriners, Springfield, Missouri. Alfred was a member of the American Legion Post 12, Vienna, Missouri. He was a member of the Vienna United Methodist Church, Vienna, Missouri.

He is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Barbara; his parents, Clarence and Ella Wagner; three sisters: Gladys Wagner, Rosetta (Wagner) Williams, and Elsie (Wagner) Whalen.

Those left to mourn his passing are Pauline (Leach) Wagner, his wife of 70 years. His children and their spouses: Barbara Jean Wagner (deceased); Owen and Bev Wagner of Linn, MO.; Don and Janice Branson of Marthasville, MO.; Gilbert and Joanne (Waterman) Rios of Ashburn, VA; Janell Henry of St Joseph, MO.; Wesley and Jane (Koch) Honse Vienna, MO.; Eric and Janet Johnson of Vienna, MO., and Everett and Debbie Wagner of Vienna, MO. His 18 grandchildren and their spouses: Randall and Debbie Wagner; Jason and Kimberly Wagner; Kevin and Christine (Waterman) Gobble; Benjamin and Devra Waterman; Joshua and Shayna (Henry) Bryant; Gretchen (Koch) Bradford; John and Sara (Koch) Martin; Andrew Koch; Kyle and Laura Johnson; Tyler, Ethan, Katelyn, and Rachel Johnson; Bradley and Jennifer (Wagner) Massman; Jarrell and Crystal (Wagner) Williams; Joshua, Angela, and Julie Wagner; Eric (step grandson) and Leah Morgan. His 18 great grandchildren: Rylie and Gracelynn Bryant; Austin and Allie Wagner; Brandon and Brooke Wagner; Hannah Bradford; Kane Martin; Caleb and Emma Koch; Samuel Johnson; Rose and Noah Massman; Jayden Williams; Naomi, Breanna, Mikayah, and Hannah Waterman; and four more expected this year. His brother, Clifford Wagner and his wife Shirley; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will miss his humor, stories, and enjoyment of life.

Services
His visitation will be Thursday April 25th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Vienna United Methodist Church. Funeral Service will be conducted Friday April 26th at 11:00 a.m. at the Vienna United Methodist Church followed with burial services with military honors at Rader Cemetery, Vienna, Missouri.
