Agnes Rosemary Armistead of St. James, Missouri passed away at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center on Sunday, November 7, 2010. Agnes Armistead was 82 years, 7 months, and 13 days of age.

Agnes Armistead was born on March 25, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri to her parents: Joseph and Edna Mae (Politte) Kolb. Agnes was united in marriage to Charles James Armistead in St. Louis, Missouri on December 21, 1948. To this union six children were born.

Agnes and her husband were co-owners of the Manchester Manufacting Company in St. James, Missouri. Agnes had the strong ability to manage a family owned company and still had time for family and church. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Agnes Armistead is survived by her husband of the home: Charles James Armistead; two sons: Charles Richard Armistead and wife Linda of St. James, Missouri; Lawrence Joseph Armistead of St. James, Missouri; three daughters: Barbara Agnes Bryant of Lacoma, Missouri; Rosemary Ann Pherigo of St. James, Missouri; and Mary Elizabeth Armistead of St. James, Missouri; one brother: Lawrence Joseph Kolb of Glendale, California; one sister: Shirley Houston of Florissant, Missouri; three grandsons: Michael C. Armistead of Kansas City, Missouri; Matthew Pherigo of St. James, Missouri and Jeremiah Bryant of Lacoma, Missouri; four granddaughters: EmmaLee and Elizabeth Pobanz of St. James, Missouri; Jennifer Shomer of Rolla, Missouri; and Brandy L. Foster of Pacific, Missouri; one great-granddaughter: Vanessa Shomer of Rolla, Missouri. .

Preceding Agnes Armistead in death are her parents: Joseph and Edna Mae (Politte) Kolb; one son: Chris James Armistead on August 6, 2002; one brother: Robert Kolb; and one sister: Katherine Jones.

Memorials may be give to the St. Jude Children's Hospital. Cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Services
Visitation for Agnes Armistead will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 from 1 - 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. James, Missouri with Charles Pardee officiating. Pallbearers will be: Michael Armistead, Jeremiah Bryant, Matthew Pherigo, Brent Schomer, Bob Durrett, and John Edgar. Burial will be in the family plot in the Stanton Cemetery in Stanton, Missouri.
