Windle Lloyd Obituary

Windle Lee Lloyd, 75, passed away in his home on May 14, 2019, with his family by his side after fighting a brave 15-month battle of brain cancer.

 

Windle was born June 15, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He last worked as a Driver for USA Tours in Rolla, MO. He loved driving the bus. He also formerly worked over 20 years at Schwitzer, where he was a member and Financial Secretary of the UAW, owned Lloyd’s Tax Service, and he formerly owned and operated a car wash in Rolla, MO for many years.

 

He was a member of First Assembly of God in St James, MO. He was a man of faith and lived life serving others. He enjoyed life, family members, and many friends. He spent most of his time off either fishing, playing his guitar, reading his Bible or spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved spending time outdoors and was always busy fixing things or helping others.

 

Windle is blessed with 7 grandchildren; Makaela Diedrich and husband Tyler, Makenna Lloyd, Dillon and Austin Anderson, and Tory, Madyson and Ethan Meiser.

 

Windle is survived by his wife Wanda Lloyd of St. James, MO; son Windle Lloyd Jr and wife Denise of Bland MO, and three daughters, Sandra Lloyd of St Louis, MO, Karen and husband Jeff Anderson of Ballwin, MO, Brenda Meiser and husband Todd of Bethalto, IL. He is also survived by his two sisters; Sue Hance of Vichy, MO and Opal Ayers of Columbia, MO and many nieces and nephews.

 

Windle is proceeded in death by his parents; Father James Cecil Lloyd, Mother Annie Lee Bailey, Brother Earnest Earl Lloyd, Stepdad Clarence Kalb, Stepbrother Ronnie Kalb and Stepsisters Roberta Smith and Vicky Cummings.

 

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 16, 2019 and the Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 17, 2019. Both will be held at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO. He will be laid to rest at St. James Cemetery in St. James, MO. The family would like to thank you for any memorials made to Wanda Lloyd.

 

Windle was an inspiration to all who came in contact with him. He touched the lives of many. He always had a kind word or a joke ready to tell. He will be forever remembered.
