William Michael Watson

William Michael "Mike" Watson of St. James, Mo. passed away on Sunday,  August 12, 2018 at his home in St. James, Mo.  William Michael Watson was 62 years and 1 day of age.

William "Mike" Watson was born on August 11, 1956 to his parents: William Louis and Beatrice Josephine Murphree Watson in New Albany, Mississippi.  He was united in marriage to Theresa Ann Fifelski Watson in Geneva, Illinois on August 12, 1977.

William "Mike" Watson grew up in Aurora, Illinois.  He was an over the road truck driver.  He moved to St. James to be near his daughter.  He loved to do wood working; and to draw and paint; play the guitar.  He liked to work with clay making plant holders.  He loved to read westerns especially Louie LaMoore as he was his favorite.  He wrote a book that is in publication named Mountain Home Sunrise.  He also has a second one ready for publication.  He had a wood shop in garage and made things for his family and sold some of his things he made.  He was very creative with the things he made.  He loved camping, adventures, animals, cockatiels and finches, and animals.  He had two dogs named Jasamine and Ozzie.  He also like to do gardening; playing with the grandchildren and cooking.

William "Mike" Watson is survived by his wife: Theresa Ann Watson of St. James, Mo.; one son: Matthew Dwayne Watson of Texas City, Texas; four daughters: Wendy Berkelman and husband Robert of St. James, Mo.; Beatrice Louise Hurey and husband Daryl stationed in Army in Korea; Heather Dawn Watson of St. James, Mo;  and Shannon Marie Roy and husband Greg of Pasadena, Maryland; brother: John (Steve) Watson and wife Virella of Orange Park, Florida; two sisters: Sarah Lee Hall and husband Bud of Aurora, Illinois; and Wanda Perez of Memphis, Tennessee; along with 20 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and one on the way.

Preceding William "Mike" Watson in death are his parents: William and Beatrice Watson; hi three  brothers: Jimmy and Paul Watson and Lloyd Murphree.

Visitation for William "Mike" Watson will be on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.

Memorial Service will be conducted on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home with Jerry Bauman officiating.  Memorials may be made to Children Cancer Research Fund; 7301 Ohms Lane, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55439.
