Wayne Michael Hellon of Bland, Mo. passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Evelyn Hospice House in St. Louis, Mo. Wayne Hellon was 66 years, 1 month and 20 days of age.
Wayne Michael Hellon was born on May 25, 1953 to his parents: Roy and Shirley Schmitt Hellon in St. Louis, Mo.
Wayne Michael Hellon was united in marriage to Beverly Elaine McLeod on May 24, 2003 in Bland, Mo.
Wayne grew up in south St. Louis where he attended high school and graduated. He was a union electrician most of his life working beside his wife on pipe lines in Missouri. Wayne loved the outdoors and in 1976 he and his father bought a farm near Bland, Mo., where they loved to hunt and fish. After his marriage to Beverly the bought another farm on Wild Cat Road near Bland and he built their house, and he continued building their house for over 15 years a project that never ended. Beverly gave Wayne the nickname "Frog" which he kept until he passed. Wayne was dyslexic in saying his words at times and laughed after he said a sentence wondering if people could figure out what he said. He was a free spirited person who gave of his love to all around him. He will be sadly missed.

Wayne Hellon is survived by his wife of the home: Beverly Elaine McLeod Hellon; four sons: Wayne Bryan; Douglas Bryan and Kevin Bryan all of St. Louis, Mo.; and Matthew Fanning of Colorado Springs, Co.; daughters: Crystal Hellen of Desoto, Mo.; Shelly Roush of Arnold, Mo.; Rachel McLeod of Owensvillle, Mo.; sister: Linda Hilkemeyer of St. Louis, Mo. along with several grandchildren, and other family and friends.
Visitation for Wayne Hellon will on Thursday, July 18, 2018 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
Funeral will be held on 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2019, at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, with Mick Thrasher officiating Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will be at the St. James Cemetery.
