Tracey Jenkins Obituary

Tracey Lynn Jenkins of Fenton, Mo. passed away Monday July 9th, 2018 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. She was 48 years of age.

 

Tracey was born September 14, 1969 in Highland, Illinois the daughter of Robert James and Lynn Carol Lando Young.

 

She was united in marriage to David Allen Jenkins on March 4, 1995 at Glencarbon, Illinois.

 

Tracey is survived by her mother: Lynn Carol Young of French Village, Mo.; husband David Jenkins of Fenton, Mo., Daughters Amanda Marie Paule and husband John of O’Fallon, Mo., and Stephanie Michelle Jenkins of Kansas City, Kansas., one brother Steve Young and his wife Lesa of Farmington, Mo.., and one sister Lisa Whitaker and her husband Bill of Glencarbon, Illinois. Tracey has 4 very special grandchildren: Margaret, Lucian, Elizabeth (Lily) and Theodore., along with 11 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

 

Tracey had a loving and caring heart. She was the rock and the glue for the entire family. She dearly loved her husband and all her family. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Tracey enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting and didn’t mind telling when she caught the biggest fish or shot the biggest deer. She graduated from Edwardsville High School in 1988. She taught preschool for 20 years most recently teaching at Faith Academy in Sunset Hills, Mo. She volunteered for several years on the Wolf Creek fire Department Auxiliary. She was loved by all including many aunt’s uncles and cousins. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Tracey is preceded in death by her father: Robert James Young; mother and father-in-law: Karl and Juanita Jenkins.

 

Tracey Jenkins will lie in state Saturday July 14, 2018 from 12 til 2:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.

 

Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Pastor Morgan officiating. Pallbearers will be Dan McGill, Alex Davis, Jim Jenkins, Bill Whitaker, Steve Young, Jeremy Whitaker and Noah Young. Burial will be in the family plot at the Matlock Cemetery in St. James.

Memorial may be given to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
