Russell Blaine Bullock

Russell Blaine Bullock of St. James passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, MO, following a 3 year battle with cancer. He was 71 years of age.

Russell, the son of the late John Russell and Beatrice Marie Carrigan Bullock, was born February 25, 1947 in Waynesville, MO. After 16 years as a couple, he was united in marriage to Tina Ann Karnes on August 22, 1999 at the Current River. This year they celebrated 35 years of life together.

He is survived by his wife, Tina of St. James; one daughter, Beth Keyes and husband, Matt of St. James; two sons: Chris Bullock and wife, Kathy of Robertsville, MO and Travis Bullock and wife, Wendy of Villa Ridge, MO; one brother, Terry Bullock and wife, Linda of St. James; three aunts: Mickey, Teddy, and Shirley; Mother-In-Law: Mary Lea Karnes; seven grandchildren: Trenton, Ashley, Alex, Latavia, Loralei, Asher, and Beatrice; and three great grandchildren: Sophia, McKinley, and Riley.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Beatrice Bullock; daughter, Tasha Renee Pulley (October 12. 2018) and brother, Richard Bullock (December 14, 2017), along with Father-in-law: Larry Roy Karnes.

Russ, was a loving husband, father, and friend. He loved fishing and floating on the local rivers and he spent every summer on the rivers. Gardening, collecting coins, and restoring phonographs were beloved hobbies of his. He was an avid trivia buff. Whereever Russell was, there was always music, family, friends, and laughter. He graduated from John F. Hodge High School. He worked for the railroad in St. Louis and Holsum Bakery for 17 years. After leaving Holsum Bakery, Russ worked for his father at Johnnie's Bar for 16 years until he and his wife, Tina, took over the reigns and operated the St. James landmark for 18 more years.

Visitation will be 5-7 PM Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James. A memorial celebration will follow at Johnnie's On Route 66 in St. James.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to St. Jude's Children Hospital, cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home.
