On December 14th, 2017, at the age of 65, Richard Laine Bullock, longtime resident of St. James and recently of Akron, CO, passed away in Brush, CO. Rick is survived by his daughter Carrie Laine Gibson and husband Shannon of Evans, CO. Two brothers, Russ Bullock and wife Tina of St. James, along with Terry Bullock and wife Linda also of St. James. Four grand-children; Zach, Austin, Hannah and Colton Gibson. Aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends who all will dearly miss him.
Rick was born to the union of Johnny Bullock and Beatrice Carrigan on November 6th, 1952 and was preceded in death by both of his dear parents. Rick was a lover of the outdoors, whether he was mowing grass or spending time on the river; floating, camping or hanging out with friends, he was happy to be in God’s creation. Rick loved music and could bend a good beat on the spoons or pluck the rhythm on the washtub.
Rick worked for his father at Johnnies Bar for much of his adult life. But also spent time working as a handyman and finished out his working career working in the maintenance department at Missouri S&T.
On February 11th at 2:00 PM, family and friends will join at Jones Funeral Home, to celebrate the life and mourn the passing of Richard Laine Bullock.
