Norma Ruth (Bagwell) Lewis

Norma Ruth Lewis of St. James, Mo. passed away on Saturday, August,3, 2019.  She was 87 years of age.  

Norma Ruth Lewis was the daughter of the late Jesse and Christina Sewell Bagwell.  She was born on November 13, 1931 in St. Louis, Mo.  Norma Ruth married Raymond Eugene Lewis on September 22, 1951 in St. James, Mo.  He entered into rest May 2, 2018.

Norma Ruth Lewis is survived by one son: Randall S. Lewis and wife Mary of Cuba, Mo.; two daughters: Lana Jean Marcotte and husband Joe of Russellville, Arkansas; Charla Ash of Baton Rouge, Louisana; one sister: Gracie Wycoff of St. James, Mo.; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Norma Lewis in death are her parents: Jesse and Christina Sewell Bagwell; husband: Raymond Lewis ; one son-in-law: Leroy Ash; one brother: Richard Bagwell; one nephew: Kevin Wycoff.

Norma worked for 30 years at the California Manufacturing Company in St. James, Mo.  She quilted with the church ladies; liked to travel especially to Branson, Mo.; went to the Navy reunion every year as it was very important to her. She was a native of St. James; attended the Christian Church all her life.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Visitation for Norma Lewis will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 12 to 2 PM at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM; Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo. with  Alan Wynn officiating.  Pallbearers will be: Matthew Marcotte; Patrick Marcotte;Justin Ash; Les Lewis; Sean Jordan and Joe Marcotte.  Burial will be in the St. James Cemetery.
