Kenneth Lee Bishop

Kenneth Lee Bishop of St. James, Mo. passed away on June 21,2018 at the Veteran's Hospital in Columbia, Mo. He was 68 years, 7 months and 12 days of age.

Kenneth Lee Bishop was born on November 9, 1949 to his parents: Shannon and Norma Lulu (Wassman) Bishop in St. James, Minnesota. Kenneth Bishop was united in marriage to Melanie R. Prebianca on June 27, 1998 in St. James, Mo.

Kenneth Bishop was a stranger to no one. He was a very generous man. He loved family and loved to help people of all ages. He loved his grandchildren and all of his family very much. Ken was a building contractor and enjoyed remolding homes. Ken was always glad to help people who were in need.   He never met a stranger and had a giving heart.. Kenneth served in the U.S. Air Force as a Fuel System Techinician from 1968 thru 1981.  Kenneth will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Kenneth Lee Bishop is survived by his wife: Melanie (Prebianca) Bishop of St. James, Mo.; four sons: Khristopher Bishop and wife Jamie of St. Louis, Mo., Brandon Bishop also of St. Louis, Zachary Krewinghous of St. James, Mo.; and Chaz Krewinghous and friend Robin McDonald of St. James, Mo.; brothers: Arnold Bishop and wife Marilyn of Minnesota; James Bishop and wife Sandy of Kentucky; sisters: Ardis Leimer and husband Leon of Minnesota;  Beverly  Fredin of Minnesota; mother-in-law: Donna Prebianca of St. James, along with grandchildren: Katherine, Kaleb, Abigail, Olivia, Althea, Samuel, Orin, Forest, Tommy and Kaysn.

Preceding Kenneth Bishop in death are his parents: Shannon Bishop 1977; Norma Lulu Wassman Bishop in 1976; father-in-law: Gene Prebianca 2001; brothers: Dwayne Bishop 1993; David Bishop, 1947; John Bishop, 2015; and Robert Bishop, 1981; sister: Lois Sellner, 2010; brother-in-law: Roger Sellner, 2011and Paul Fredin.

Visitation for Kenneth Bishop will be on July 7, 2018 from 2 - 3 PM at the VFW Hall in St. James, Mo.

Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on July 7, 2018 at the St. James VFW Hall Post 5608 in St. James at 3 PM. Full Military Honors will be provided St. James V.F.W.
