Fannie Irene (Gibson) Parsons

Fannie Irene Parsons of St. James passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center.  She was 80 years of age.

Irene, the daughter of the late Ernest Orville and Fannie Marie Glenn, was born March 23, 1938 in Phelps County, MO.

She is survived by her special friend, John Heuser of St. James  sons:  Kenneth Parsons, Jr and wife, Pam of St. James and Doug Parsons of Salem; grandchildren:Kristie, Travis, Craig, David, Dereck, Gregory and Jordon; great grandchildren: Tyler, Abby, Ashlynn, Ethan, Destiney, Trinitey, Broc, Scarlet, Camden and Wyatt; and one great great granddaughter, Taitum; ; brother, Bill Gibson of Columbia, MO; nieces and nephews and many friends.

She is preceded by her parents, Ernest and Fannie Gibson; granddaughter, Dawn Schuchmann and two brothers:  Ernest Orville Gibson and Olin Gibson. 

Irene was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.  She graduated from cosmetology school in Rolla.  She owned and operated a beauty shop in St. James for many years.

Visitation will be 12 Noon Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Gene Branson officiating.  Pallbearers will be Tyler Schuchmann, Craig Parsons, Steven Achterberg, Travis Parsons, Shane  Achterberg and Zach Achterberg.  Interment will be in the St. James Cemetery. 

Memorials may be given to the St. James Sports Club.
