Barbara Joan (Christeson) Railey

Barbara Joan Railey, 77, of High Gate, Mo., entered her Heavenly home, at 7:15PM, Saturday, November 11, 2017, at PCRMC ER, Rolla, Mo.

Born in St. Louis, on May 13, 1940. Later moved to the state of California, where she lived, with her Aunt Alma. Barbara was the daughter of Otto Perry Christeson, and his wife Beulah, and Virginia “Bernice” Belcher and her husband Jerry.

While in California, Barbara met her husband Ernest “Ernie” Edward Railey. They were married for 57 years.

Barbara was a family woman. Barbara welcomed her home, to those she loved. Her loved one always knew they had a place, at her table.

During Barbara’s early year, she was employed, at Mattel Toys, where she work production “making Barbie”. Later her and husband opened a trucking company, Mr. Express. They ran it together, for many years.

Barbara and Ernest shared four biological children, and two foster children, they loved in their home. Their children included; David A. Miller of Heyburn, Idaho, Barbara Jean Garcia, with husbad Daniel, of Rupert, Idaho, Virginia Faye Railey, of High Gate, Mo., Susan Lyn Christeson, of High Gate, Mo., Brian Keith Railey, of High Gate, Mo., and Michael Edward Railey, of High Gate, Mo.

Barbara had six grandchildren; Ernest “lil Ernie” Miller with wife Catrina of US Army, Desteny Johnson, with husband Joey, of Chula Vista, Ca., Crystal Lincoln, with husband Shad, of High Gate, Mo., Randall Railey, with wife Jennifer, of High Gate, Mo., Breanne Vazquez, with husband Nester, of Jonesboro, Georgia, and Shyloh Railey, of Dixon, Mo., and many great- grandchildren.

Barbara was the second to oldest, of twelve children. Surviving siblings include; Betty Ragan, with special friend Poncho, of Vichy, Mo., Glen Christeson, of St. James, Mo., Michael “Mikey” Belcher, with Chris, of Raymondville, Mo., Jerry “Cookie” Belcher, with wife Edna, of High Gate, Mo., Denise Lee, of Licking, Mo., Gregory Belcher, with wife, Diane, of St. James, Diana Montooth, with husband Dave, of St. James, Mo., and Tammy Belcher, with special friend, Wendy, of St. James. Also surviving many, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Proceeding Barbara in death includes; Her father Otto Christeson, with wife Beulah, her mother Virgina Belcher, with husband Jerry, Her Aunt Alma Railey, Son-in-law James Christeson, Brother William Christeson, Sister Carolyn Gonsalez, and brother Steven Christeson.

Barbara’s last wishes were, for her body to be donated to science. There will be a small gathering, at her home, on a later date.

Barbara was loved very much, and will be greatly missed, by all that knew her.
