In Loving Memory of...
Virginia McCue
November 10, 1912 to November 27, 2005

Virginia McCueVirginia McCue was taken to the Bosom of Abraham on November 27, 2005, at the age of 93 years and 17 days, having been born to the late David Elder and Ora Lee (Miller) Nesbitt on November 10, 1912, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was united in marriage to Henry A. McCue on October 11, 1935 in Wellsburg, West Virginia, and to this union was born one child, Sally Lee (McCue) Carpenter.

Virginia was proud to have served as a volunteer worker at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center, and she was active in civic affairs over her lifetime, having served in Bridgeport, Ohio, as a member of and one-time president of the Bridgeport Child Study Club, as a Girl Scout Leader, and as a volunteer at the Brookside, Ohio School. She graduated from Wheeling, West Virginia High School in 1932, and worked outside the home for a large part of her adult life, including working many years as a bookkeeper for Storer Broadcasting, a TV station in Detroit, Michigan.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Sally Lee Carpenter and son-in-law Major (USAF-Retired) Vincent L. Carpenter, Jr.; brother: David C. Nesbitt and wife Lorie of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; five grandchildren: Valerie Lynne Gleason and husband Alfred of San Antonio, Texas; Vincent L. Carpenter, III and wife Barbara of Lee's Summit, Missouri; David Eric Carpenter (Esq.) of Indianapolis, Indiana; Michael S. Carpenter and wife Elizabeth of Dixon, Missouri; and Matthew C. Carpenter of Bellevue, Washington; nine great-grandchildren: Aaron Gleason, Ian Gleason, Vincent L. Carpenter IV, Jason Carpenter, Jacob Carpenter, Matthew Snider, Jason Snider, Jovanna Snider and Stephen Snider.

Services
Visitation with the family were held Friday, December 2, 2005 from 5 - 7 pm at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.

A Memorial service was conducted on Friday, December 2, 2005 at 7:00 pm at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with Brother Gene Branson officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Forest City Christian Church in St. James, Missouri.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
