Virginia Mae (Reel) Parker

July 28, 1921 ~ August 27, 2017 (age 96) 96 Years Old

Virginia Mae Parker, 96, passed away with her family at her side, on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at her home in St. James, Mo.. She was born on July 28, 1921 as the daughter of Harley and Adeline Reel. She married Harry A. Parker.

Virginia was a member of Open Door Baptist Church while she lived in Indiana. When she moved to Missouri, she became a member of Delhi Baptist Church of Cuba, Mo. Virginia loved singing in the choir and playing the piano, and spending time with her family.

 

Virginia Mae Parker is survived by daughters: LaDonna McAuley of St. James, Mo.; Vicky Percinal of Flordia, and Carla Clark and husband Mark of Indianapolis, Indiana; son: Don Luca and sister: Mary Lou Chaisten of Indiana.

 

Preceding Virginia Mae Parker in death is her parents: Harley and Adeline Wolfe Reel; three brothers: Harley Reel, Mack Reel, and Harry Reel; three sisters: Margaret Fockler and Betty Burton and Helen.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 11am until 2pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2pm, also at the funeral center. In memory of Virginia’s love for hats, all guests are encouraged to wear their favorite hat to attend the services.
