She is preceded in death by her parents.

Renee, soft spoken and kind, was devoted to God and her family.  She homeschooled her six children; she supported their interests by involving them in special projects and driving them to hours of special lessons:  ballet, jazz, gymnastics, piano, guitar, violin, volleyball and track.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Mimi”.  She and her grandchildren loved to go for adventure drives, walks, wrestle, play her musical instruments, and jump in mud puddles.  The grandchildren especially loved the special sleepovers that she planned for each one; they also adored her special lollipops.  Renee was always busy on an art project whether it be refinishing furniture , painting landscapes, or sewing garments for her family.  In 2000, she started bluegrass jamming; she played the upright bass.  She and a group of friends hosted a class at  Gessell’s performance arts studio, And Flew,  in which they taught others to play bluegrass music.  She also played bluegrass at Panera’s  on Wednesday evenings.  Visiting Equador  with her youngest daughter, Flora, to help build homes for the local people was one of her favorite accomplishments.  She loved the people and the music.  Equador held a special place in her heart.  She was interested  in organic coffee and and problems related to GMOs.  She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
