Michael Edward Ray

Michael Edward Ray of St. James, Mo. passed away on January 12, 2017 at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Mo.  Michael Ray was 73 years, 10 months, and 25 days of age.

Michael Ray was born on February 21, 1943 in St. James, Mo. to his parents: Hubert and Eva Marshall Ray.  He was united in marriage to Marlene Marie Rhodes on March 2, 1968 in Red Bird, Mo. at the Community Center Wings of Faith Church. 

Michael Ray worked at the Drury Hotel the past 12 years as an auditor, he worked as a union person. He love to read and do research work on the computer.  He also was a member of the Jimmy Swarg Ministry.  Michael worked for the California Manfacturing Company in St. James for 25 years in the cutting room. He also was the manager of the California Manufacating Company in St. James, Mo.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Michael Ray is survived by his wife: Marlene Ray of the home and one sister Millie Sue Doss of Permont, Nevada; along with several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Michael Ray in death is his parents; Hubert and Eva Marshall Ray; two brothers: Robert Norton Ray and David Ray; one sister: Betty Lou Sturdivant.

Visitation for Michael Ray will be on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 6 - 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 2 P.M.  with Mick Thrasher officiating; vocalist will be: Stephen Brubaker and organist: Jeanette Ashley.  Songs will be: Old Rugged Cross; and What A Friend We Have In Jesus. Burial will be in the Oak Forest Cemetery in Bland, Mo.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
