Loren Clinton Morelock

Loren Clinton Morelock of St. James, Mo. passed away on April 11, 2016 at St. John Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.  He was 83 years, 8 months, and 9 days of age.

Loren Clinton Morelock was born on August 2, 1932 to his parents: Clint and Margaret Satterfield Morelock in High Gate, Missouri.

Loren was an avid reader and love to read about history.  He loved playing ball and he played in High Gate, Belle, and St. James.  He liked cows and loved farming.  He worked at the Shoe Factory in St. James, carpentered with Ralph Davis and worked at the School of Mines of Physical Facility as an Assistant Administrator.  Loren was very well educated.
He attended Belle High School in Belle, Mo.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Loren is survived by Niece: Doyla Sue Mentis and husband Dave of St. James, Mo.; one great niece: Dava Christian and husband Andrew of St. James and great great nephew: Layton Elliott; of St. James;  one sister-in-law: Pat Morelock of St. James; along with many cousins.

Loren is preceded in death by his parents: Clint Morelock (1902-1984) and Margaret Morelock (1906 -1999) and one brother Doyel Morelock 12-10-2009.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11:30 A.M. at the High Gate Baptist Church Cemetery with Tony Kinsey officiating.  Burial will be in the High Gate Baptist Church Cemetery in High Gate, Mo.  Memorials may be made to the High Gate Baptist Church Cemetery.  Cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
