Harold “Chip” Edmond Laramore Harold Edmond Laramore of St James, MO passed away at his home on Monday, July 24, 2017, at the age of 88 years, 5 months, and 3 days.


 Harold was born on February 21, 1929 to his parents Ray and Ollie (Breakfield) Laramore.


 He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lavina “Bonnie” Laramore of St James, MO, sister Ina Mae Setzer of Dillard, MO, son David Laramore and wife Kate of Rolla, MO, son Timothy Laramore and wife Carla of Cedar Hill, MO, daughter Dianna Golden and husband Todd of Cedar Hill, MO and 5 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and blessed with many great-grandchildren, and many others who have felt his love.

 

Preceding Harold in death are his parents Ray and Ollie (Breakfield) Laramore, 2 brothers, Elvin Laramore and Leland Laramore.

 

Harold retired from MacDonnell Douglas after 30 years of service, working his way up from a Tool Crib Attendant to a Manufacturing Specialist.

 

He prided himself in his handyman skills, always being the first to lend a hand.  He greatly enjoyed traveling the country with his wife Bonnie, and when he was home spending time in his woodshop making gifts for his children and grandchildren.  Mostly, Harold loved spending time with his family either playing cards and dominoes, or just enjoying their company.

 
 A gathering to celebrate Chip’s life will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Jones Funeral Home in St James, MO.  We will have informal visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.

 

 Memorial services will immediately follow with full Military Honors for his service in the Army, where he fought in the Korean Conflict.

 

In death he has continued to give all he has, as he has donated his body to research at Washington University School of Medicine, to brighten the young minds of tomorrow.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, Campus Box 8111, 660 S Euclid Ave., St Louis, MO 63110.
