Donald D. Sohn

Donald D. Sohn of French Village, Mo. passed away at his home in  French Village, Mo. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016.  He was 83 years and 22 days of age.

Donald D. Sohn was born on September 13, 1933 in Wshington, Mo. to his parents: Oscar and Francis Doyle Sohn.   He was united in marriage to Sarah Ellen Chilton and she passed away on June 16, 2003.  He then married Janet Webb.

Donald Sohn worked for McDonald Douglas Aircraft in St. Louis for 40 years. He started out as a sheet metal worker and retired as a inspector.  Donald was active in the Army National Guard and finished his service as a Sergeant First Class. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Donald Sohn is survived by his wife of the home: Janeet Webb Sohn; two sons: Steven Doyle Sohn of Los Angles, CA.; Tom Hines and wife Carrie of St. Louis, Mo.; three daughters: Susan Cahill and husband Michael; LIsa Hnes; Melissa Hines and fiance' Mark all of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers: Leroy Sohn and wife Glenda of St. Clair, Mo. and Gary Sohn of St. Clair, Mo.  Brother-In-Laws: Marvin and John Chilton of St James. Along with grandchildren: Brittany, Lea Sohn and fiance' Reggie; Katelyn Nicole Sohn of Wood River, Ill. and Kenneth Jesse Johnson of St. Louis, Mo.; great-grandchild: Sofie Ellen Siddell of St. Louis, Mo.; along with several nephews and nieces, including Jean Watkins and husband Bob of St. James and Sharon Tennyson and husband Jerry of Rolla.

Donald Sohn is preceded in death by his first wife:Sarah Ellen Chilton Sohn on June 16, 2003; his parents: Oscar and Francis Doyle Sohn; two brothers one infant and Ray Sohn; and two sisters: Mary Lous Sohn and Betty Sohn and Step-son Kenneth Johnson.

Visitation for Donald Sohn will be on Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 6 - 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 11 A.M.  the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo. with LInda Hardwick officiating.  Pallbearers will be: Steven Sohn, Earl Sohn, Tom Hines, Darel Provinse, Bob Watkins, and Mike Cahill.   Burial will be in the Adams Cemetery in St. James, Mo.

Memorial may be made to Americian Heart Association.  Cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
