Deanea Joyce Johnson of Natick, Massachusetts formerly of St. James, passed away Tuesday March 21, 2017 at her home in Natick, MA following a lengthy illness. She was 49 years of age.
Deanea was born in Rolla, Mo. The daughter of the late Robert Duckworth and Jacqueline J. Freeman.
Deanea is survived by her husband Robert Johnson of Natick, MA, her mother Jacqueline J. Freeman of Holt Summit, Mo., Son: Jonathan Johnson of Natick, MA., Daughter Jennifer Johnson, of Natick, MA; Sisters: Debora Disser and Denise Anders of Holt Summit, Mo and Donna Duckworth of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; Brother: Allen Duckworth of Richmand, Virginia. Along with grandchildren: Riley Johnson, Emma Johnson, and Kayden Johnson.
Deanea grew up in St. James and lived on the family farm where she found a love for horses. Later in life she moved to the Boston area and worked for the West Roxbury Veterans Hospital. She and her family attended the St. Paul Episcopal Church in Natick, MA. She was a giving person and loved people. She was known for giving money to whoever called and asked for donations, sometimes several calls in one day. She enjoyed traveling to the islands of Hawaii and to Arubia. She loved to sky dive.
She is preceded in death by her father Robert Allen Duckworth.
Deanea Joyce Johnson will lie in state Monday March 27, 2017 from 12 noon until funeral time at 2:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Jerry Baumann officiating. Pallbears will be Jonathan Johnson, Tyler Duckworth, Cody Byers,Danny Karnes, Robert Johnson and Allen Duckworth. Burial will be in the St. James Cemetery.
